Monthly Meetings
We meet on the first Monday of every month at The Peterborough (except on Bank Holidays when we sometimes meet on the second Monday). At the meetings (7:30pm to circa 9pm) we welcome speakers on one or two topics that have been suggested by members at previous meetings. We sometimes welcome local traders if they have exceptional products that the committee think may be of interest to the FWI members but never are members expected to buy unless they choose to. Refreshments are not provided although there is a bar downstairs where members tend to grab a drink on the way up. Regrettably we cannot accomodate children at the meetings and there are no creche facilities
Committee Meetings
Once a month the Committee (voted in annually at our AGM in October) meet at one of the committee members homes, for a catch up and to plan for other meetings. If you would like to get more invloved and take on a WI responsibility then please email Lucyand let her know and she will let you know which areas need help or how you could stand for a committee position at the next Fulham WI AGM.
Breakout Groups
Sometimes we have breakout groups when there are members who would like to meet more than once month to do something specific. In the past we have had great fun learning to do the Charleston and to make Jam and even Fascinators (a type of hat!) Ideas for Breakout groups are always encouraged. Email ideas to Lucy or Joanna.
Special Events
Once a year we organise a Christmas ball to fundraise for a local charity and there is seperate committee who deal with it as it is quite a feat! We also arrange other special events such as the annual day trip to the Cartier Polo and many more.
