Monday 4th September Meeting

Monday's meeting will be at Novellos as usual starting at 7:30pm. We will be welcoming Zena from the The Sewing Rooms in Putney. The sewing rooms sell the most amazing sewing/embroidery machines, and embroidery software. They have designers who create individual outfits for their clients as well as carrying out quality alterations. They also run sewing/embroidery/knitting classes and clubs.

We will also be welcoming John Dalton from Nirex who will be talking to us about his organisation's work with regard to the disposal of nuclear waste.

Drinks tonight with a single white failure

Gareth Sisbon is the author of Single White Failure he also ran a project called chasing bridget before Christmas. Anyway he is now writing a serious non fiction book on women and would really like to talk to some of us (as members of the Fulham WI and fine specimens of 21st Century womanhood). If you are free tonight and fancy coming along for a chat some of us will be meeting with Gareth at the White Horse at 7:30pm. All welcome.

2006 Ball Update

Just a quick update on the Ball ... the organisation is going well and to plan. The Committee (Niki Hutchinson, Jo Hackett, Sarah Batho, Sarah Brock, Ruth Finnis, Charlotte Noar) are doing an amazing job. They have had donations of raffle prizes from Oliver Bonas, Cath Kidston, Zinc Bar and Grill and Sea Cow restaurant on Fulham Rd .. to name but a few, already. They are still very much on the look out for more prizes though so any help would be fantastic. The tickets will be going on sale in September at £60 each. An email with full details will be on its way soon ... hope you can all make it! please contact Niki Hutchinson if you have ideas for raffle prizes or would like to reserve a table for the ball.
