The April Fulham WI meeting will take place on Monday, 7th April from 7.30pm in the upstairs function room at THE PETERBOROUGH on the New King’s Road. Directions can be found here and new members are always welcome.
The April meeting will include:
Reflexology – Jenny Roscow
Do you suffer from stress? Or do you constantly feel run down, low on energy, as if you're running on empty? Do you suffer from an illness or condition, or have a health problem that you have to deal with? Then reflexology could be the answer. Almost anyone can benefit from reflexology and it has excellent results with a whole host of chronic and acute health conditions, such as stress, PMS, issues surrounding the menopause, pre- and post-natal issues, infertility, migraines, skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, IBS and other digestive disorders, bloating, thyroid imbalances, cystitis, insomnia and other sleep disorders, hay fever and other allergies - the list is endless.
We will be welcoming Jenny Roscow, a qualified reflexologist with a practice in Balham, to our April meeting to give an introductory talk about reflexology and its benefits. She will also be treating some of our lucky ladies to a live demonstration!
Jenny’s practice is called Therapy For the Soul and she would be delighted to hear from any FWI members who are interested in having a treatment to help with their health and well being.

Help for Heroes
As discussed at the last meeting the Help for Heroes Charity reception at The London Original Print Fair will take place in the Royal Academy of Arts, 6 Burlington Gardens on Wednesday 23 April 2008 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
This is the 23rd year of The London Original Print Fair and Help for Heroes are delighted to be able to host the Charity evening this year. The Charity evening provides a fantastic opportunity for you to have a private view of the Fair, whilst having a glass of champagne with friends. Throughout the reception, you will have the opportunity to view and buy prints from the exhibitors at the Fair, who have kindly agreed to make a donation (suggested 10%) for all sales on the evening to Help for Heroes.
Help for Heroes was set up by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 and is raising money to support the wounded servicemen and women from Iraq and Afghanistan. Their first target is to raise funds to help build a much needed swimming pool and gym complex at Headley Court. The appeal has had considerable support from all sections of society, is non political and simply seeks to help the young men and women who have had their lives affected by injury. More information is available here
If you would like to attend it is £50.00 per ticket – forms will be available at the April meeting. Please make cheques payable to: Help for Heroes and post to: Suzy Watt, Hurst House, Hurst Berkshire RG10 0SH.
Fascinator Workshop
We have been approached by a fantastic lady who can teach us to make fascinators – perfect for the upcoming wedding, racing and polo season. The cost would be £100 each to be taught and make 3 fascinators! If you are interested please let us know, there will be a limited number of places – only 10.
FWI Subs
For those who haven’t paid their subs for 2008, the cost for this year is £27.00. Cheques should be made payable to Fulham WI and given to a member of the committee.
See you all there ... for those who cannot make it, see you very soon!
