'We're going to need considerably bigger buns.'
At first glance it should look like your classic WI calendar. Jams, cakes, sewing, cakes and all that. Except for one tiny thing....the ladies are not naked, they're nude. A group of of extraordinary women, members of a very ordinary WI, persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference.
Puzzling their husbands, mortifying their children and riding the wrath of the outraged WI, they achieve their goal of raiaing money for charity, but inadvertently spark a global phenomenon.
Adapted by Tim Firth from his smash-hot film of the same name, Calendar Girls is quirky, poignant and hilarious.
Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please email Niki if you are are interested. Cheques should be made payable to Fulham WI and send to 40a Broughton Road, Fulham, London SW6 2LA.
