Dr. David Jones, Ecologist
From Severe Stammerer to Award-Winning Public Speaker
Dr David Jones is a tropical ecologist at the Natural History Museum. In September 2008 he presented a talk about his research on the ecology of tropical rainforests. This time he returns in his capacity as a member of and fundraiser for the British Stammering Association (BSA). He will highlight the work of the BSA, outline the treatment available for both children and adults who stammer, and describe his own journey from severe stammerer to award-winning public speaker.
As always, the meeting will be in the upstairs room at the Peterborough/Southern Cross pub on the New Kings Road (on the junction of Wandsworth Bridge Road) nearest tube is Fulham Broadway. Please find here a link to Google Maps for directions. We look forward to welcoming new members and returning members alike.
EVENTS – Please note it is our policy that only paid WI members may take part in organised events. If you wish to become a member please speak to a Committee Member at the meeting. Subs are £29.50pa.
