Edward Parker Wines December Wine of the Month Offer– It’s Christmas (…isn’t it?)
Which ever way one looks at it, things are pretty gloomy. But now there is a ‘D’ at the beginning of the month, it’s time we all start trying to lift our spirits a little…
Christmas isn’t going to be cancelled and we are all going to be having a few days off to look forward to. This time of year we can all try and forget what’s happening with the economy and enjoy our time spent with family and friends by indulging a little. We have decided to offer three different cases (think of them as our Three Wise Men!) which will make perfect drinking over Christmas at three different prices. Then we have applied our usual Wine of the Month discount on 10%: a level which would make Mr. Darling blush.
The wines we are offering will all be drinking perfectly over Christmas and will match anything the cooks may throw at you. In each case we have included a bottle of our fantastic Monbazillac 2005 from Ch. Grange Neuve which would go wonderfully with your Christmas Pudding, a bottle of Port for your Stilton and a 50cl bottle of Olive Oil from the Racalia Estate in Sicily: the Premier Cru of olive oils – simply delicious.

Many of us enjoyed a lovely festive evening at the General Trading Company last Thursday.
They have asked us to pass on the news that their charity Christmas Grotto (the only charity grotto in London!) has opened! It's free and every child gets a badge, balloon, present and letter to Father Christmas. They ask parents to donate to the Kids Company charity who are running it. Bookings can be made in-store (walk in) or book online here.

Ladies, Are any of you interested in taking part in a trial exercise programme designed to strengthen your pelvic floor? The programme is called the Pelvicore Technique (free DVD available from www.corewellness.co.uk) is designed to help women of all ages strengthen their pelvic floor muscles and regain core control. The exercises also improve posture, help tone and flatten tummies and also improve your sex life: they can be done in any position and are suitable for women of all ages and abilities.
The Pelvicore Technique is a range of exercises created by professor Kari Bo, an exercise scientist and physiotherapist specialising in women’s health. The DVD is part of a Europe wide campaign called CoreWellness which aims to get women back in control of their bodies and feeling confident They are looking for around 8-15 women between the ages of 30- 58 to take part in this pilot study. You will need to take part in the exercise lessons, held in Fulham (location to be agreed with you) and follow a physical therapist for around 3-4 classes. The rest of the time you will need to follow the DVD at home, in front of the TV, doing exercises every day for around 10-15 minutes, for the next 3 months. While you are doing the exercises, you will need to keep a diary every week to record your progress and any improvements you’ve noticed in your pelvic floor strength/control etc. You will have the support of a physical therapist to help you with any problems or answer any questions. Your diaries will remain anonymous so you can write honestly and openly about your progress. They’re looking to start this pilot study as soon as possible so, if you are interested in taking part, please contact Ruth Delacour at ruth@roadcommunications.co.uk.

The North East’s best new female entrepreneur is looking for equally ambitious women across the
UK
Recent research has shown that mothers are finding it increasingly difficult to find a job that offers flexible working hours and that allows them to work from home if and when needed.
Fresh Deli Party Plan offers a flexible working pattern that can be structured to suit the individual and the opportunity to work from home where needed. With a great commission rate on sales this is a fantastic opportunity and perfect for mothers that still want the chance to build their own career.
Danielle Dunn, founder of North East bath and body company Fresh deli, has been shortlisted for ‘Young Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the North East Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2007 and is continuing her search for Sales Agents to spread the Fresh deli philosophy.
Danielle, who won the best newcomer category in the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 awards, said: “This is an ideal job for mums or people with other commitments because it offers flexible working. The options with Fresh deli are endless - you can choose a structure that suits you and earn a great living from selling our exciting, vibrant products!”
Earlier this year Danielle and her brother Shaun, with whom she runs Fresh deli, received investment funding from regional business leader and board member of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum Sir Peter Vardy.
As well as selling via the party plan network and on-line, Fresh Deli products are available in ten Debenhams stores, including Metro Centre and London
There are also two Fresh Deli shops in the North East, in Hexham and New Green Market in
Newcastle
For more information and case studies please call Stephanie Drew on 0191 258 4455, e-mail steph@freshsoapdeli.com or visit www.freshsoapdeli.com
